New operator for Disabledmagazine.online

Dear community and friends of disabled magazine.

My name is Daniel and I am the new operator of the “disabledmagazine.online” web side from now on.

At the beginning, I want to say thank you to Roxana that she trusts me to hand over her work into my hands.

I will try to do my best to continue her work and keep this side alive, which will not be the easiest thing, and I need the help of all of you to feed it with contend.

This side is and should be a source of information and entertainment.
I want to add my own experience to it, which might will bring in different perspectives.

Let’s talk a bit about me. I would describe myself as an average person. I have been born in 1976 directly into the upcoming age of the ‘Home Computer’ which shaped me a lot, so I am now working as IT Administrator/Coordinator in a multinational Swiss founded industrial group.
I’m not disabled, handicaped or impaired, but if someone would take my glasses away, I would feel like that, with my quite strong short sightedness on both eyes.

You may ask now how I come to this point to take over an online magazine about disability, let’s say it like that I became aware of accessibility issues in our living environment.

To be honest, I fall in love with an extra ordinary woman who is a fulltime wheelchair user because of a spinal cord injury. This relation sadly wasn’t supposed to worked out, but it made me even more aware what accessibility means.

So, I started an Instagram page called “accessibility_world” where I try to document places I visit, to show the touristic aspect as well as if it is accessible and not to forget the sanitary situation.

Last year, Roxana asked me if I would like to write some articles for her online magazine.
I gladly took this opportunity to share some of my experiences with you.
Roxana asked me now, if I would like to take over the web side, because of some events that occurred and changes in her live Roxana is not able to put the effort in the side as before and she would delete it otherwise.

The web side is worth to keep alive in my opinion and I would like to ask for your help me to do so.

If you have something interesting to contribute, please send me an E-Mail to:
